Brave Ground is Dulux Colour of the Year 2021

The colour experts at Dulux have selected the warm and earthy, Brave Ground as their colour of the year for 2021, saying that the simple shade: “creates a feeling of stability, growth and potential; and provides a firm foundation for change and creativity in your home.

“What has emerged from our trend forecast this year is that we’re all reassessing what really matters in our lives. We’re taking stock and finding a new and positive way forward by having faith in ourselves, working together, building on the past and planning for the future. It takes courage to embrace change and our homes can help provide a solid and supportive foundation, as well as giving us the scope to be creative”.

Brave Ground is a versatile and stablising shade which provides a great foil for more adventurous interior highlights. For a timeless look, pair Brave Ground with Spiced Honey and artisan craft furniture and accessories for a warm, relaxed feel. For an alternate take blend with coppery tones, marble and velvet for a more luxurious feel. Paper Chain, Pressed Putty and Woven Nest can all help you recreate the look.

For a bolder contrast, pair Brave Ground with warm reds and pinks for am expressive, stand-out interior, adorned with graphic patterns, light wooden floors and contemporary furnishings. Dulux colours, Berry Pop, Lost Coral and Terracotta Army fit the bill beautifully.

For a deeper and more mysterious interior design, pair with colours like Night Seas and Mysterious Teal, reclaimed furniture, unusual ceramics, natural wood and lots of foliage.
