Iceland partners with RangeMe sourcing platform

Frozen food giant, Iceland, has teamed up with product discovery platform, RangeMe, in order to source new suppliers and products. The partnership enables Iceland and The Food Warehouse to access a huge international community of 200,000-plus suppliers.

The RangeMe platform aims to be a one-stop-shop where buyers can source from suppliers worldwide, with more than 800,000 products currently listed. Iceland is in search of trend-led product innovations which can be delivered swiftly and at scale.

The Trading Director at Iceland, Andrew Staniland, said: “Joining forces with RangeMe has already transformed our sourcing and buying process. Our customers have increasingly diverse tastes and preferences and RangeMe’s technology presents us with opportunity from the global product market on one screen.

“Huge opportunity exists in collaborating. Embracing new technology, as we have with RangeMe, is key to getting ahead in the retail industry. This partnership has streamlined our approach to buying and sourcing and we will continue to maximise the software to supercharge our efforts to get the best-of-the-best onto the shelves in our stores as quickly as possible.”

Having launched in 2014, RangeMe is now used by more than 15,000 retail buyers in the UK, Benelux region, North America, and Asia Pacific. The platform is the brainchild of founder and CEO, Nicky Jackson, with the goaling of bringing suppliers and retailers together easily and efficiently. She commented:
