Treasure in association with The Jewellery Show Salon

London Jewellery Week 2011 will include its first ever trade day on June 9 at Treasure in association with The Jewellery Show Salon.

For one day only the city-wide jewellery festival will bring together trade buyers and designers in an intimate exhibition format to be held at Victoria House in London’s Bloomsbury Square, from 10.00 am onwards.

All trade visitors are welcome at the salon of treasures, that will play host to an exquisite array of over 100 elite contemporary jewellers, including award-winning JeDeCo designers Jessica De Lotz, Deci, Glitterati, Gemmeus, La Diosa, Tomasz Donocik and fair-trade pioneers, Ute Decker, Cred Jewellery and Oak.

Key highlights of Treasure will include the debut of the Goldsmiths’ Pavilion – with over 30 of London’s best fine jewellers showcasing their work together – and Essence, showcasing the work of jewellers with the shared vision that sustainable jewellery does not have to sacrifice design or quality. Essence designers are committed to sourcing their materials and managing their business in a  way that is socially, environmentally and culturally responsible.

Treasure in association with The Jewellery Show Salon will incorporate collaborations with sister brands including Retail Jeweller magazine and global trend forecasting service WGSN, to deliver a content-rich event that provides an inspirational London-based trading environment for exhibitors and retailers alike.

Visitors will also be treated to exclusive trend presentations by WGSN, brand presentations and the 2011 launch of Retail Jeweller’s Inspiring Independents, the magazine’s quest to find the top 50 independent jewellery retailers in the UK and Ireland. The Inspiring Indies panel debate will be hosted by Retail Jeweller editor Laura McCreddie, who is to be joined by Boodles’ Nicholas Wainwright, Joe Skeates from EC One, Pippa Knowles from Baroque Bespoke Jewellery and Jayant Raniga from PureJewels.

The British Jewellers’ Association will also be showcasing the winners of the BJA Cuff Awards – Rachel Galley and Burkmar Designs – as sponsored by and presented at The Jewellery Show 2011.

Speaking of the partnership with The Jewellery Show, London Jewellery Week director Della Tinsley commented: “London Jewellery Week endeavours to support jewellers at every level, from mentoring and support for emerging jewellers to the cultivation of new clientele for established jewellers. We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Jewellery Show, WGSN and Retail Jeweller on this exciting expansion of London Jewellery Week.”
