Violent Veg are putting down roots in the music industry with news that the best selling humour brand is releasing a compilation CD in time for Father’s Day.
Violent Veg – 40 Favourite Songs for Dad has been produced by EMI in partnership with brand owners Carte Blanche Greetings. The double CD features a brilliant crop of chart hits, from hip-hop to indie, mod to anthem rock.
Released on June 6th, the album will be available from all major music retailers, Clinton Cards and at byCarteBlanche, the official Carte Blanche store.
The launch will be supported by a high-profile PR campaign and a TV commercial due to air on both terrestrial and satellite channels. On the brand’s website, www.violentveg.com, the edible rogues are celebrating with a new kidney bean-themed internet game called Methane Melodies!
Earlier this year, Carte Blanche’s Me to You brand triumphed in the charts with Me to You With Love, a love songs CD also produced by EMI. The album became the best selling compilation CD on Valentine’s Day and reached number two in the UK compilation charts.
Jocasta Kelsey, Head of Marketing at Carte Blanche, said: “The Violent Veg CD is sure to prove a winner for Father’s Day, and will have dads everywhere cranking up their air guitars! It’s been great to work with EMI again, and we’re confident this CD will be every bit as successful as Me to You With Love.”
