The stunning artwork of designer Maia Ferrell has really caught our eye.
Maia grew up in Florida and graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design. She has moved around the design world, working as a successful fashion designer, graphic designer, magazine art director and – most recently – product designer for a major gift manufacturer.
Maia says she is inspired by her great grandmother, Gisella Loeffler, a talented New Mexico artist. The decorative folkloric figures hail from Gisella’s influence, as are the Austrian and Mexican motifs. Maia’s mother also nurtured her colourful and creative spirit, filling her childhood with art, fashion, textiles and vintage gems.
Nowadays Maia’s beautiful daughter Lucia is her joy and even more inspiration.
