Ella Doran exhibits in two sections at Maison & Objet – ‘now! design à vivre’ and ‘home accessories’ with bespoke and ready to buy collections. Maison & Objet, Paris from 9-13 September 2011, Paris Nord Villepinte.
Ella Doran’s well established made-to-order product line includes flooring, walls, canvases, roller blinds and tiles and all will be available in Hall 7. The designer also aims to connect with architects and interior designers to pursue the bespoke branch of her business. Ongoing technical advances in both design and manufacturing have pushed boundaries, making application of design and end products more affordable and exciting. In a recent commission for bespoke curtains and portable tabletops, for the new Barts and the London Children’s Hospital, Ella Doran was able to have close consultation with the patients, their parents and hospital staff. This resulted in design that was new, practical and uplifting. Supported by the British European Design Group (BEDG), the designer presents this and other bespoke public-context projects in the ‘now! design à vivre’ section of Hall 7.
Ella Doran continues her tradition of popular, affordable gifts for the home in Maison’s ‘home accessories’ section in Hall 6, where she offers a selection of her newest ready-to-buy collections to buyers in the international design market. The products range from tableware, wallpapers and umbrellas to greeting cards, gift wrap and other paper products, many manufactured by her stand-sponsoring licensees; Penny Kennedy, Fulton Umbrellas, The Art Group, TeNeues, Ary Trays and Churchill China.
