Chocolate is Divine for Advent and Christmas

Divine Chocolate, the ethical chocolate company owned by cocoa farmers, is delighted to announce its Christmas 2011 range.

One item in the range that we love is the Divine Advent Calendar, which is a nice way to get in the mood for festivities. Always popular bestsellers, this year it’s lovelier than ever with a detailed new colour illustration, guaranteeing to delight children of all ages. Available at Waitrose, Booths and other stockists.

The calendar features a beautifully illustrated globe showing the journey from cocoa bean to bar and the celebration of Christmas around the world. Inside each of the 24 windows sits a solid milk chocolate heart (which is suitable for vegetarians) behind which the story of the Nativity is told. On the back of the calendar you can read about how Fairtrade is good for farming. There’s also a special coupon offering free entry for one child when accompanied by a full-paying adult to local eco-attractions including The Eden Project, Living Rainforest, Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust. The Advent Calendar is available now at Waitrose. Also available at Booths, Liberty’s, Oxfam, RRP £4.00.

Other festive favourites that are a must for Christmas stockings and for adorning the house are milk chocolate Gold Coins and Christmas Puddings. Both are suitable for vegetarians and the gold coins are also certified Kosher.  Divine Gold Coins (RRP £2.00, 75g net) available from Liberty’s and Oxfam.  The Christmas Puddings from Divine’s sister brand Dubble are available from Booths and Liberty’s (RRP £2.00, 80g nets).
