Giftware supplier Enesco is celebrating thirty years of its Lilliput Lane Cottages, which are counted amongst the most popular miniature cottages in the global market.
To commemorate this milestone year Enesco will launch Acorn Cottage, Thirty Years On at its 2012 Annual Fair, to be held at the beautiful Chatsworth House on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th September.
Acorn Cottage was one of the first designs in this collection, produced in 1982. The 30th anniversary version will be available for this year only, retailing for £29.95 and available in its own bespoke box. The inscription on the base reads: ‘Great oaks from little acorns grow’.
Thirty extra-special cottages (only available at the Fair, on a ‘lucky dip’ basis) will have a special Gold-leaf Acorn in the box along with a Golden Ticket for £10 off the next purchase of a Lilliput Lane cottage.
Lilliput Lane was founded in September 1982 with the aim of capturing the architectural heritage of Britain in the most authentic, detailed miniature sculptures ever seen. The fledgling company began with just seven employees. Today the brand is owned by Enesco, which has taken it around the world, with collections depicting English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh styles, as well as French, Dutch, German and American cottages, all handmade in the Lilliput Lane studios in the Scottish Borders.
