Carte Blanche Greetings has launched the hundredth character in its gorgeous My Blue Nose Friends plush collection, released in June to coincide with the fourth anniversary of the hugely popular brand.
Gifts & Greetings Review – which loves plush of all shapes and sizes – has a very soft spot for this lovely range, having been given the first six characters as a gift four years ago, and a limited edition Pegasus two years later!
No.100 is a cute centipede named Ramble, a 4-inch plush Friend accented with shimmery gold fabric. Ramble is part of a new set of Friends that also includes Jewel the Corgi (No.102), created in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
My Blue Nose Friends launched in June 2008 with six collectable plush characters, each with its own unique number and personality. The brand rapidly developed a loyal following from Carte Blanche’s huge global fanbase, and expanded to include larger plush sizes, figurines, stationery and gifting. The latest figures about this brand reveal:
• Over 7.7 million pieces of plush have been sold, enough to fill every seat in Wembley Stadium over 80 times!
• Laid in a row, 4-inch My Blue Nose Friends would stretch over 400 miles – from Carte Blanche’s headquarters in Chichester, West Sussex, right up to the Scottish borders
• On average 37,654 My Blue Nose Friends are sold every week, that’s ten per trading minute
The brand is developing further with a much-publicised launch into the toy category later this year, alongside bestselling Carte Blanche brand Me to You. The Tatty Teddy and My Blue Nose Friends toy range will include interactive characters, a magical toy wardrobe and a light-up play house.
