Carte Blanche Greetings’ founder and owner Stephen Haines has been getting in the spirit for his company’s 25th anniversary celebrations by going ‘back to the floor’ to work alongside his staff in all departments for a two day period.
From reception, to customer services, to credit control, sales support and warehouse Stephen had a catch up on all departments; by the looks of it he found it much more fun operating the pick-up truck than answering the phones!
Stephen founded Carte Blanche Greetings back in 1987 with just 12 greetings cards. 25 years on, the company has enjoyed tremendous success and is now an international creator, distributor and licensor of character branded products including greeting cards, toys, gifts, homeward and apparel.
Star brand Me to You – popularly known as Tatty Teddy – is one of the best-loved characters in the UK, with brand recognition ranked second only to Disney in this country, while enough My Blue Nose Friends plush products are selling in such volume they could fill Wembley Stadium a few times over!
“it’s been an amazing journey” said Stephen. ” I can’t believe it’s been 25 years since it all began. Going back to the floor was a real eye opener. It was great to re-live some amazing memories from the past and also to get more up to speed with the technology that now exists within the company. The last year has been one of the toughest of all but we are in great shape to face the new year and beyond.”
