The UK Greeting Card Association (GCA) has been encouraging greetings publishers and retailers to make an early start on sending out Christmas cards, in the hope that their recipients will be similarly inspired to put pen to card.
The GCA estimates that around 100,000 people are working directly and indirectly within the greetings card industry, so if each of them sent ten cards in early December there is the potential for ‘a fantastic ripple effect’ around the UK and wider world.
Even if you are not in the card industry, it is a great time of year to connect with your customers, friends and loved ones. Send them a nice Christmas card with a warm message in it expressing your gratitude and wishing them all the best for 2013. Do it this week. Spread that festive cheer around the world. Come on. You know you want to 🙂
The last date you can send a card by Royal Mail and expect it to arrive by Christmas is Tuesday December 18 for second class mail and Thursday December 20 for first class. So what are you waiting for, let the card writing commence!! (we’ve just bought ours and will be carrying out the monster signing session this weekend).
