Turnowsky scoops prestigious Gregor International Calendar Awards

Turnowsky calendarRenowned Israeli greetings card, stationery and calendar publisher, Turnowsky, was honoured in the Gregor International Calendar Awards, achieving gold, silver and bronze accolades for its Children and One World calendars.

The prestigious awards for exceptional calendars were presented at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart on 24 January 2013, where Papierfabrik Scheufelen from Lenningen, Germany won both the Gold and the “Gregor” judges award for outstanding achievement for its Moving the World calendar.

Turnowsky’s gold was presented for the stunning Children Calendar in the Publishers’ award category, for calendars that are currently in distribution.

A total of 1,159 calendars from around the world were entered in the competition, the most important of its kind for the print and media industry in Europe. Some 1,045 came from Germany alone, with 114 from thirteen other countries, headed by Japan. The panel of judges presented a total of 59 awards.

All entries are assessed by the panel of judges from the Graphischer Klub Stuttgart (GKS) based on four key criteria: overall impression of the calendar; functionality and originality; concept, design, photography, typography; and quality of production.
