The Bomb!

babyWith Spring in our  hearts if not the freezing air we are looking forward to seeing some of the wonderful gifts and greetings companies lined up to exhibit at Pulse, due to take place from May 12 – 14 at Earl’s Court, London.

High on our list of stands to visit is Bombus, which supplies an exquisite collection ranging from luxury handmade cards and nostalgic gifts to stunning wall art.

Bombus prides itself on making something new and special from old maps, vintage books and botanical illustration, sheet music and discarded stamps, bringing them back to life as beautiful sentiment-driven products.  Everything is handmade in the UK.

We loved the beautiful handmade to order cards depicting the word Baby, Girl or Boy, created by hand bonding printed fabric onto card. The fabric is then pressed and then laser cut into shape and mounted onto the cards, which are blank inside for your own message and supplied with matching envelopes. Base Card colour available in Red, Kraft brown, or off white, fabric colours available in Red, Pink, blue, purple or green.

bombusWhen we’ve got a bit more money to spend we might like to splash out on one of these wonderful pieces of handmade fabric-collage wall art, which RRP for £1690. Each one of these stunning artworks from Bombus’ new ‘patchwork’ collection is individually made from carefully selected images from vintage books and atlases.  No two artworks are ever the same.
