JELC, global licensing agent for the My Cat Pip design brand, and Over the Moon, My Cat Pip’s creator, have announced the appointment of Portico Designs Ltd to publish and distribute My Cat Pip greeting cards in the UK market.
Over the Moon has been the main distributor of the brand to date, but the growing popularity of the little black cat and a strong demand for new design and product ideas has driven an even greater focus by Over the Moon on its core business. Portico has therefore been appointed to build on Pip’s success in the greeting cards market in the UK.
The brand will continue to be available on the web via Moonpig.com and through My Cat Pip’s own online shop at www.pipthecat.com.
Founded in 1988, Portico Designs Ltd is today established among the UK’s leading publishers of greeting cards, wrap, stationery and calendars. Its client base includes high street multiples, supermarkets, specialist chains and independents. The company has a strong presence in licensed product, which includes an extensive portfolio of major brands.
Portico and My Cat Pip are clearly an excellent fit, as My Cat Pip is a design-led property with origins in the greetings card and wrap sector.
