With Father’s Day right around the corner our favourite image library, Bridgeman Art, has supplied us with some fun ideas for card publishers seeking to develop new ranges for this all important spring season.
First up, in honour of our own dad, who is a keen gardener, is this fabulous Topiary Wave by contemporary artist Larry Smart (1945 – 2005), painted using acrylic on linen.
Next we have this humorous postcard depicting the fathers of a single child, of twins and of triplets. The original is a colour litho in the French School
A very different sort of image of father and child is this digital image by contemporary artist, Thisisnotme, Father With Crying Baby Icon, 2006 (digital).
Another one that would be appreciated by our own father is this wonderful oil on linen by contemporary artist Rebecca Campbell, Do Not Disturb. Perfect for dads who love some quiet time with a favourite book or that all-important afternoon nap.
Last but definitely not least – golf being one of the most vital activities carried out by dads around the world, and a mainstay theme for Father’s Day collections – is The Chip by Rene Boin.
