The owners of Mint Publishing, Debbie and Alan Williams, have acquired fine art card publisher Museums & Galleries Marketing Ltd (MGML), which went appointed Nigel Morrison and James Stares as joint administrators on July 2 2013.
Corby-based Mint Publishing, which is known for its Knit & Purl and Knitted Naughties ranges, has doubled its size with the move, which includes all assets of MGML with the exception of the firm’s Corsham headquarters.
Museums & Galleries will be sold as a separate brand with sales managed by Riou Baxter and Mike Broad of Why Management, who also run Mint’s sales operation.
MGML publishes charity cards for the Help for Heroes, Shelter, British Heart Foundation, MIND, Marie Curie and the NSPCC and is well known in the industry for its beautiful licensed art cards and stationery, including the V&A branded range. The company was founded in 1981 by Caroline Humby Teck and a trust was established after her death to preserve the British landscape and wildlife.
