The Talking Point seminar theatre will return to i2i Event Group’s Autumn Fair International this September with an inspiring schedule of speakers chosen for their expertise in areas crucial to retail success, including:
Setting up shop for the first time, merchandising and display, spotting and translating future trends, ecommerce, social media marketing, logistics, customer analytics and the fine art of giftwrapping.
Visitors are also invited to participate in the Retail Business forum with retail business consultant Neelam Meetcha and Independent Retailers’ Forum with Richard Barker, Founder, Cilla and Camilla, Ann-Marie James, Owner, Rossitors of Bath and Lindsey Adams, Founder, Bonkers.
The panel will look at new opportunities for independent retailers in the next few years, how they can respond to the needs and habits of the modern customer and remain unique amongst the competition.
Hotel Inspector Alex Polizzi will be one of the star presenters at the show, where she will deliver an exclusive seminar at the Talking Point theatre on Sunday September 1. Other great speakers you can look forward to hearing from include:
- Kate Mooney, Managing Director, Occa Home, who was shortlisted for Best Small Pureplay Etailer Category in the PayPal Etail Awards and will be speaking on setting up her own online retail business.
- Social media expert Deborah Lee, named on Forbes Top 50 Social media experts list, who will be chairing a panel looking at how retailers can get the best out of social media.
- Richard Pollin, Head of New Business, Google, who will look at converting online browsing to sales: Winning the ‘Zero Moment of Truth’, explaining how the modern shopper interacts with brands and retailers online, and how the process of meeting those shopper needs begins.
In addition to the hive of activity going on at Talking Point throughout Autumn Fair, seven exhibitors are lined up to take part in Cook Live!, where a ‘Hot Plate’ Dragons Den style competition will take place during the show. The panel will include Paul Wooley from BIRA and Gary Gordon from Kitchen Kapers.
