Northumbrian Candleworks is a fast-growing, family-run business with a reputation for creating high quality, hand-blended and hand-poured 100% soy wax candles, with gorgeous scents. The company, which enjoyed considerable growth under its new management in 2013, will be unveiling an extensive collection of new products at this year’s Spring Fair, due to take place at The NEC from February 2 – 7.
Known for the especially pure scents and clean burn of its candles, Northumbrian Candleworks has developed a new range of glass candles that will be available in 3 brand new fragrances – Mediterranean Fig, Lime, Mandarin & Basil and Red Poppy & Ginger, as well as in 10 of its most popular current fragrances. The candles, which will be attractively presented in stylish and distinctive black tubes, will retail at £17, “representing an appealing and luxurious product at a truly affordable price-point”, says managing director, Peter Cooke.
In addition to the new glass candle range, Northumbrian Candleworks will also be launching a new range of largely organic luxury scented body products that will complement their range of candle fragrances, under the sister brand of Northumbrian Aromatics. The body products range includes a rich hand and body cream, a whipped shea butter body soufflé and an invigorating sea salt scrub. The body products will be available in a range of eight selected fragrances to complement the company’s candles.
“We have been working closely with our customers to understand what they would value most”, explains Peter, “and we have invested to develop ranges that we believe will generate real shelf-appeal, and excellent sell-through. Our strong branding and fresh new packaging, combined with these new ranges will provide our retailers with more breadth, and will, we believe, also attract new customers to our brand. We are really proud of these new products and in tests the customer response has been fantastic.”
Northumbrian Candleworks has built its customer base through using only 100% natural soy wax and the finest quality ingredients for its candles, and the same approach has gone into the development of the body products range. “We set out to produce a natural, luxurious bath, body & skin care range to match our candle fragrances. Our body products are made using only the very finest ingredients, such as Shea & Cocoa butters and high quality essential oils and carrier oils; all of which have been used in order to aid the regeneration and repair process for younger looking skin and a more radiant skin tone and texture.” explains Peter. “Overall the brand represents luxury products, created by hand, using only the highest quality ingredients, at an affordable price”, he says.
