Cardgains Village keeps busy at Spring Fair

Anniversary cake-1The Cardgains Village was once again a ‘hive of activity’ at Spring Fair International 2014. The Village, in keeping with the event was certainly busier than recent years with a very positive feel about it from both visitors and exhibitors.

The Village had more Cardgains member visitors on Sunday alone than in the whole show last year and also saw nearly double the number of retailers interested in joining the buying group.

30 suppliers were represented on the pods many with some really great new products from both long established Cardgains suppliers and new suppliers to the portfolio.Cardgains took advantage of the show to celebrate the start of their 25th year Silver Anniversary, launch the magnificent Car-gains car giveaway promotion, present 2013’s charity cheque to the Katy Holmes Trust, launch the 2014 Charity challenge and hand out some ‘Millionaire’ awards to a line of members who have achieved over £1m of turnover through the Cardgains scheme over the years.

The official start of the anniversary year was officially launched to members and suppliers. Throughout the year some special promotions and activities are planned for members. (See Car-gains promotion story here).

Following the presentation of last years cheque Cardgains launched the 2014 Cardgains Charity Challenge. In line with the 25th anniversary Cardgains has set a very high target to raise this year of £25,000.

Three Dams logo-1The chosen charity is Peach – for children with autism. Staff, members, suppliers and friends of the industry are all invited to take part in this fabulous event. Over 50 people volunteered at Spring Fair already. The event this year is called “The Three Dams Challenge” and has two options of getting around 3 reservoirs in the Peak District. Challengers have the option of walking round once at 25 miles or cycling around twice at 50 miles. The day is scheduled for Thursday 26th June 2014.
