The buying group Cardgains has been at the hub of activity in Greetings & Gift Hall 4 at Spring Fair, where it is hosting a large group stand for members suppliers including Talking Pictures, Ling Designs, The Great British Card Company, Amscan, IC & G, Jacksons, Second Nature, Express Yourself, is It Art, WPL, Quitting Hollywood, Espree, Special Editions, Paper Rose, Grass Roots, Xpressions 4U, UK Greetings, Sarunds, Deva Debut and We’ve-A-Gift.
he highlight of the show for Cardgains took place on Sunday February 1 Deb Smith of Southbourne Cards in Bournemouth was given the keys to a brand new Nissan Juke as the finale of the 2014 Car-gains car giveaway. Throughout 2014 members have been earning ‘entries’ into the draw from the support suppliers as part of last year’s Cardgains 25th anniversary celebrations.
The draw took place at 2pm where ten finalists gathered in eager anticipation for the draw. The nine runners up were each presented with a commemorative watch.
The following day saw Cardgains present the 2014 charity of the year cheque to representatives from Peach – for children with autism. The target of £25,000 was reached due to the hard work of the charity walkers and riders and the generosity of friends, family, members and acquaintances.
On the stand throughout Spring Fair are live demonstrations of the Cardgains Web Shop. There are now twenty-three brands available through the web shop, giving members the opportunity to order a mixed box of products across a selection of suppliers, with a minimum order of only £100. Members will be able to register and even order live at the show.
The Cardgains Team are still at Spring Fair welcoming everyone to their stand Hall 4E20 – F21, in particular independent retailers wanting to know more about the scheme and who wish to join the group.
