FESPA, the world’s largest focused event for wide format print, is to launch a new exhibition platform that will highlight the amazing power and diverse applications of print for interior décor.
Due to take place from 18 – 22, May at the Koelnmesse exhibition centre in Cologne, Germany, Printeriors will celebrate the creative possibilities of print for interiors via state of the art room sets put together by cutting-edge print service providers in this field.
The show will run alongside FESPA 2015, the world’s largest dedicated exhibition for wide format digital, screen and textile print.
Focusing on the myriad applications of print onto interior surfaces, Printeriors’ has been launched for the global interior design and architecture community across multiple sectors including hospitality, corporate, retail and residential property.
Printing industry suppliers will put together a series of room sets to represent different commercial and domestic interior environments, with an emphasis on creativity and innovation over technology and process.
This unique visual and tactile experience will highlight the enormous potential for customisation inherent in print, which can be used on every kind of surface ranging from wallpaper and deep pile carpets to floor tiling and glass.
The Event Director for Printeriors, Roz McGuinness, comments: “Interior designers need the tools and techniques at their disposal to bring creative ideas to life within the client budget and to tight project timescales. The appetite for personalisation is also increasing, giving designers the challenge of creating bespoke interiors at an affordable cost. Print is rising to this challenge with new technologies, materials and inks that enable interior designers to achieve stunning effects that can individualise spaces and replicate the look and feel of traditional decorating techniques and luxe materials.”
Whether your project is a luxury boutique hotel room or the new headquarters of a merchant bank, an inner city nightclub or an eco-friendly, futuristic show-house, print can help bring your most imaginative concepts to life.
Printeriors 2015 has some of the printing industry’s most creative print service providers, who will demonstrate how easily print can be incorporated into new interior design projects, across the board from the purely functional to the truly avant garde.
On Thursday 21 May 2015 during the exhibition, Printeriors will also run a highly specialised one-day conference covering interior applications, materials, designs, techniques, trends and case studies. The sessions will be led by European designers who are actively using print to bring their ideas to life. Speakers will include Jennifer Castoldi, Chief Creative Director, Trendease International and Dutch architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars as the keynote speaker.
