Throughout 2016 the Forma House team will be supporting the Women V Cancer charities, with staff member Karen Lincoln fundraising to complete the challenge of a lifetime – cycling 450km through Vietnam & Cambodia in just six days.
Karen, who has worked in the housewares industry for over seven years, is aiming to raise over £3000 for Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action – to help them continue in their life saving work.
Already gaining a raft of support via social media (100+ on our facebook page alone) – the campaign launched on the Forma Blog last month. Titled ‘Karen’s story’ the emotional diary focuses on Karen’s journey from the point of diagnosis, through to treatment and of course where she is now, ready to take on this epic adventure.
Says Karen: ‘! I think as you get older you get braver and I intend to follow my dreams. I really truly believe if you can see it, you can do it, and I intend to just go for it and grab it with both hands. There’s no time for ‘what if’s’ they don’t exist in my world anymore.’’
