The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced that long-term licensee Frances Lincoln, a publisher of quality illustrated books, has produced three new ranges of illustrated RHS books and stationery.
In early August Frances Lincoln launched the RHS Exotic range, comprised of a set of notecards with envelopes, a journal and a notebook. A range of wrapping-paper books and a Rose notebook followed in early September. The company’s licence is a global one and the RHS range will be distributed in the USA, Europe, Australia and a number of other markets, as well as the UK.
The Rose wrapping-paper book and Rose notebook were developed to celebrate the release of the RHS publication, The Rose, a book specially written by RHS Historian Brent Elliot, and subtitled A History of the World’s Favourite Flower in 40 Captivating Roses with Classic Texts and Rare Beautiful Prints. All the products in the three ranges feature original botanical illustrations, hand-picked from the RHS Lindley Library, the world’s finest collection of botanical art.
Andrew Dunn, Publisher, Frances Lincoln, says: “The RHS Lindley Library and Brent Elliott’s marvellous new history The Rose have been wonderful sources of inspiration for these new ranges. We are delighted to be supporting the RHS and its admirable aim of making the UK a greener, more beautiful place.”
