The organiser of Top Drawer and Paperfest, Clarion Events, has revealed the winners of the 2017 PaperAwards 2017.
Sponsored by GF Smith, the PaperAwards support and recognise the creativity and innovation of the talented exhibitors at the S/S edition of Top Drawer which opens on Sunday January 15 -17.
Winner of the Emotive Design category: Lagom Design
Winner of the Engaging Print category: Rhombus & Pineapple
Exciting Use of Colour: Roger La Borde
PaperFest founder, Abigail Warner, comments: “We had a lot of fun with the incredible judging panel while shortlisting the finalists for each category, and we’re absolutely delighted by the growth we’ve experienced in such a short time both in terms of entries and votes.”
“The large number of applications was a result of the high calibre of judges and the number of votes cast by the industry was a reflection of the diverse shortlist. We couldn’t be happier with the overall winners – Independent and playful Rhombus and Pineapple, Industry stalwart Roger La Borde and design-led favourite Lagom.”
The finalists for the PaperAwards were nominated by a panel of stationery industry experts including Clare Sprigings, Stationery and Seasonal buyer for Selfridges, Lizzie Bachelor, Stationery and Seasonal Buyer for John Lewis, Rina Bhansali, Merchandise Manager for Harrods, and Kirsty White, Product & Design Manager at Heals. The winners were then selected by trade via an online vote.
Visitors to Top Drawer will have the opportunity to see the winning and shortlisted designs, and meet the winners and finalists in person, at the PaperAwards 2017 showcase in the heart of the Greetings & Stationery area.
