Rachel Meehan debuts at Scottish exhibition

Rachel Meehan, a graduate from the Glasgow School of Art, will be launching her brand new 2017 card collection at the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre Retail Trade Fair in Glasgow which will take place on 17-18 September.

 

‘Rachel Meehan, pictures and words’ is a newly formed company specialising in high quality art cards and prints for special occasions. Founded in early 2017, the company offers a wide range of images in card or print format, all inspired by nature. Her signature collections comprise ‘Bold Blooms’ – a range of intricate floral illustrations based on drawings of some of Rachel’s favourite flowers from her own garden, and ‘Fabulous Feathers’ – a series of exotic bird illustrations celebrating some of the wondrous colours found in nature.

Rachel Meehan is a Scottish based artists who trained originally as a printmaker, completing her Postgraduate studies at the Glasgow School of Art. Based in the Scottish Borders, Rachel has been working on the “pictures and words…” card range since early 2017.

Rachel comments: “I am very proud of my “Bold Blooms and Fabulous Feathers” collections. It has taken a lot of hard work and discipline to put together a strong selection, and I am looking forward to gauging the reaction from the retail trade.”

The cards are 350 gsm and printed on a high quality Matte Recycled board which is kinder to the environment.. Each card comes with a kingfisher blue envelope and is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag. Suitable for a variety of occasions the hand drawn images are printed on 15 cm square cards.
