Charity Candle to celebrate the royal wedding

The UK’s largest manufacturer of home fragrances, Wax Lyrical, has released a limited edition collectors’ candle to celebrate the Royal wedding, with 10% of profits going to ActionAid, a charity dedicated to working with the poorest women and girls in the world and changing lives for good.

Only 250 of this very special, one-of-a-kind, candle will be made and each one will have a hand-written number on the packaging to symbolise it is part of an exclusive collection. The candle has been inspired by both Harry and Meghan’s work with charitable organisations and will raise funds to help ActionAid support vulnerable women and girls and empower them to change their own lives and achieve a better future.

Taking inspiration from Spring time the candle’s scent will include a royal, sparkling and crisp accord of green apple, fresh pear, juicy grape, a zest of orange and sweet grapefruit supported by a heart of peach, dry flowers and musk.

Wax Lyrical is proud of its British heritage and wanted to mark the occasion the only way they knew how, by creating a quality, British made product with an expertly crafted, wonderfully smelling scent.

Wax Lyrical sales and marketing director Warren Gell said: “We are delighted for Harry and Meghan and as a company that is proud of its British heritage, we wanted to produce something that would be a fitting tribute to mark such a special occasion and which would be a reflection of the young couple. The charity partnership with ActionAid was inspired by the couple’s philanthropy and we’re delighted to be supporting the charity and its commitment to changing lives for the better..”

Girish Menon, Chief Executive for ActionAid UK added: “We are delighted that Wax Lyrical are fundraising for ActionAid through the sale of their Royal Wedding Candle. With their amazing support we are able to support some of the most vulnerable women and girls across the world and help change their lives, for good. Thank you!”
