Spring Fair Preview

Spring Fair will once again offer unrivalled scale, variety and choice for retail buyers when the show opens at The NEC, Birmingham, from February 3 – 7.


As a hub for some of the UK’s and international most inspirational designers, manufacturers and suppliers, Spring Fair will offer visitors the chance to source the ideal products to drive sales throughout 2019.


The show will incorporate a multitude of different market sectors, including: Beauty and Wellbeing, Christmas Gifts, Floral & Seasonal Decoration, Children’s Gifts, Toys & Gadgets, Contemporary Gift, DIY & Home Improvement, Fashion Jewellery & Luggage, Gift, Glee at Spring Fair, Greetings & Gift, Home, Kitchen, Dining & Housewares, Retail Solutions, Party, The Summerhouse, Volume Gift & Home, Jewellery & Watch.

With a new year comes exciting new additions and updates, plus hundreds of new exhibitors and thousands of products and ranges. The ‘First’ initiative across various sectors and ‘Debut’ in Greetings will offer up-and-coming and pioneering exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their products at Spring Fair for the first time.

Officially launched at Autumn Fair 2018, DesignFirst will make its Spring Fair debut, featuring exclusive manufacturers who will introduce buyers to the latest game-changing, original products. Exhibitors include Dimpled Heart, Print Circus, Version 22, Lola+Blake and The Sugar Shed.

Within the new TasteFirst area Spring Fair will welcome suppliers of the best giftable food products as part of the Gift showcase. TasteFirst will see new-to-market, dedicated culinary innovators like NOVELTEA and Mountain Chocolate Company joining the likes of Willie’s Cacao, Popcorn Shed and Spice Kitchen.

Amongst newcomers in Gift will be one of Europe’s largest candle manufacturers, Gala World of Candles, exhibiting alongside other well-established home fragrance brands including Yankee Candle, Bolsius, Price’s Candles and Wax Lyrical. Also new is Scheurich, the leading brand for planters in Europe.

Across the giftware sector, Spring Fair will welcome back Something Different Wholesale and industry giant, Enesco, which is to celebrate 25 years in business at the show, launching over 800 new products. New exhibitors We Love Seasons and Keats Chocolatier will join established exhibitors such as Puckator Ltd, Widdop & Co, Fallen Fruits and Joe Davies.
The 2019 exhibitor line-up in Contemporary Gifts will also include first timers Portico Designs and KMI Brands alongside Nordal, J-line by Jolipa, Nkuku and RJB Stone.


This year, the spotlight will also shine on ToyFirst and NurseryFirst, Spring Fair’s new showcases for start-up toys exhibitors, offering access to the unique and exclusive product ranges new to the market.

In its successful third year running, the ‘Debut Area’ in Greetings & Gift will offer visitors fresh, contemporary greeting cards from new publisher members of The Greeting Card Association.

Spring Fair 2019 will also bring together the largest collection of fashion accessories and luggage exhibitors in the UK, with newcomers featuring in the FashionFirst showcase.

The sought-after Christmas Gifts, Floral & Seasonal Decoration showcase is set to be the fair’s must-visit area for buyers from multis, department chains, garden centres and indies too, following a hugely successful 2018 showcase. Spanning across Halls 2 & 3 there will be a vast range of products from UK and international exhibitors. DIJK Natural Collections, Hogewoning, National Tree Company and Mercer Agencies will join Premier Decorations, Festive Productions and Enchante. Danish company Creation Group will showcase their 2019 range and, from The Netherlands, Kaemingk will present a wide range of Christmas lighting and an extensive tree collection alongside their Everlands collection of trees, wreaths and garlands

With the largest showcases of homeware in the UK, Spring Fair 2019 represents a unique offering for interior designers and home retailers. Exhibiting in the Hall 1 will be Coach House, Clarke & Clarke, Hill Interiors and Pacific Lifestyle, alongside new brands such as Richard Inglis, Style Library, Vida Living and Native Lifestyle, not to mention one of the largest finished product selections across textiles, soft products and linen collections in the UK. Spring Fair will also embrace trends from across the countries like Holland and Germany, with international exhibitors including Light & Living, Authentic Models and Vossen.

Spring Fair visitors’ favourite collection of the greatest and latest hand-picked gift, lifestyle, interior and lighting brands, The Summerhouse, will be back for 2019 with more exhibitors and new product line launches. Following the success of the 2018 Summerhouse, the likes of Bronte by Moon, One World and The Libra Company will be joining the show again, alongside new Summerhouse residents such as PTMD Collection, Vintage Garden Room and Vanilla Fly.

The popular Glee showcase will be back for the 2019 event, allowing garden retailers the chance to re-stock after the busy Christmas and New Year period, and prepare for the upcoming Mother’s and Father’s Days. Core gardening focuses, including garden care, landscaping and garden decoration and outdoor entertainment, will be supported by the Glee at Spring Fair café – the main hub that will house key industry associations and the New Product Showcase feature. At the Café’, GIMA, Gardenex and DIY Week will also host ‘meet-the-buyer’ events to facilitate trading and networking amongst exhibitors and retailers.

Riverco will be back this year with their range of garden furniture and accessories handmade in the UK; Laurica-plants is also returning for the second year, with their laurus nobilis topiary and evergreen plants. Woodlodge will also be back to launch a new range of indoor pots and decorative products bringing fresh and on-trend designs to the show.

For those garden centres looking to diversify their range and find more profit in their business, Spring Fair is a perfect match. Amongst the floral exhibitors in the adjacent hall 2 – Christmas Gifts, Floral & Seasonal Decoration – will be specialists Swift Imports, Sincere, Florelle as well as museum-grade artificial plant manufacturers, TreeLocate and internationally renowned Sagedecor, who have over 40 years’ experience in the sector.
