Royal Recognition

Rex London, Wrendale Designs and Boxclever Press (pictured) have been recognised by Her Majesty The Queen in the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, winning their accolades in the International Trade category.

The contemporary gift and stationery companies were selected from thousands of other entries to win the highest possible awards for British businesses. They are joined by some 200 other award winners from around the country.

Launched 15 years ago by Sarah Sadler “with £200, two children under the age of four and a lot of hope. With zero knowledge of the publishing industry”, Boxclever Press has grown overseas sales by more than 600% in the past three years.

Following its launch with an illustrated greeting card range seven years ago, Wrendale Design’s growth has rocketed 400% as it launched in the US, Europe and Japan and it also runs a successful licensing programme.

Gift and homeware supplier, Rex International, which began in 1981 as a market stall on London’s Portobello Road, now employs 70 peole and exports to as many countries. Rex received its Award in International Trade for six years of exceptional continual growth in overseas sales, which since 2012 have risen by 250%.

Very well deserved, well done everyone!
