Online furniture site, Wayfair, opened its first pop-up showroom in the UK on August 1 in Soho, London. Visitors were promised a glimpse of the latest interior design trends and free treats, and were invited to join a complimentary paper flower craft workshop.
“We’re so excited to open our first pop-up experience in the UK, which is a new avenue to grow awareness for Wayfair’s unique range and wide selection,” said Wayfair’s style advisor, Nadia McCowan Hill. She said the curated one-day showroom offered a “trend-forward experience that is just one example of the unique ways we are continuing to transform how people shop for their homes.”
Opening up in a two-storey townhouse on Bateman Street, Wayfair showcased four expertly styled spaces that were designed to evoke unique destinations such as retro Palm Springs and the wild Serengeti. The styling was inspired by a +1500% increase in customers searching for travel-related furniture and décor on the Wayfair website over the past year.
