Card Factory makes it personal

Budget greetings card retail chain, Card Factory, has launched its first Christmas PR campaign, Festive Family Photocards, featuring TV personalities Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash.

The campaign was designed by PR agency, Taylor Herring, to help buck card sales ahead of the industry’s most vital trading period. The agency decided that personalised family Christmas cards were a trend to watch, inspired by public figures such as the Kardashians and British royal family (not necessarily in that order!)

As part of the inventive promotional scheme Card Factory will create festive pop-up photoshoots in stores around the country, so families on a budget also have the chance for their own Christmas card photoshoot. Customers will also be able to make their cards online or a participating store, where they can choose from different Christmas backgrounds and props. Cards are then rounded off with a personalised message before being printed and delivered to the customer’s home, at a cost of £10 for ten cards.

Stacey, Joe and new baby Rex showed how it’s done by creating their own Christmas card with Card Factory and releasing behind the scenes video content from the shoot.

Glyn Williams, Customer and Digital Director at Card Factory, said: “Christmas is our most important trading period and we’re delighted that this year we’ve been able to make it the most special yet for our customers. The Festive Family Photocard service was created to give every Card Factory customer the opportunity to take a proper family portrait -, we want every customer to #MakeItATradition. We are so excited about the creative direction we are taking since hiring Taylor Herring and very much look forward to future projects.”
