The show director of Glee, Matthew Mein, has issued a statement regarding the cancellation of this year’s exhibition as a result of the coronavirus pandemic:
We do hope that you, your family and everyone within your business is safe and well.
As a reflection on conversations between Hyve, the organiser of Glee, and the community it serves, we have taken the decision that Glee 2020 will not take place this year and will return as an in-person event in 2021.
We have listened to the Glee community and whilst the industry supports Glee, the preferred choice in 2020 is to connect in a virtual environment.
We are now working closely with our partners and clients to deliver a unique virtual forum for product discovery and interactive industry discussions that will connect the garden retail market, taking place on 15 and 16 September 2020.
Bringing people together is at the heart of what we do. And with that in mind, we are also looking forward to when the market can meet again in-person. We will have Glee at Spring Fair in February 2021, and Glee 2021 will take place 14-16 September.
In the meantime, Glee continues to provide webinars, industry news, and digital content that keeps the garden retail community informed and connected on The Community hub.
