Penguin Random House UK has unveiled some exciting brand activities for the classic Peter Rabbit as lockdown restrictions are lifted in the UK.
A partnership with the National Trust will see a series of Peter Rabbit Winter Activity Trails launch in 90 National Trust properties around the country this December. The trails will offer families nature-themed activities, whilst a range of Peter Rabbit gifts will be stocked at all National Trust gift shops and available online.
Fans can join Peter and his friends from Saturday 5 December for some winter fun in the walled garden at Blickling Estate. Follow the trail and solve the clues to help the animals get set for winter.
There will be nature-themed active challenges to try along the way, as well as a Peter Rabbit selfie station at the end of the trail where everyone can take a picture with their favourite storybook rabbit.
Young participants can also lend a hand to some of Beatrix Potter’s other well-loved characters such as Squirrel Nutkin, Mr. Jeremy Fisher and Jemima Puddle-Duck, and solve the clues to earn their special trail badge and certificate.
A series of digital activities will be available at a dedicated Peter Rabbit area on the National Trust website, including festive storytelling and audio clips from the recently released Beatrix Potter: The Complete Tales and activity sheets, to support partners across the Peter Rabbit brand, will be promoted to the Trust’s combined social media following of 2.7m followers.
The National Trust expects around 1.7m visitors to access the trails this winter.
