Valentine’s Cards by Stationery Traffic

Sunshine Suburbia is part of the Collage range of slightly kitsch, hand-cut collage designs by Peter Spencer – the designer/publisher at Stationery Traffic -loosely based on his suburban childhood where the days were always sunny and the garden sheds were warm and heady with the scent of creosote.

One particular design for St Valentine’s Day is captioned ‘All Women Know the Only way to a Man’s Heart is Through His Stomach.’ Set in a suburban 1970’s kitchen it highlights the home truth of channelling love through food, and the sweet temptations of a sugary pudding knowing no bounds.

Stationery Traffic’s All At Sea range was inspired by a trip to Yarmouth’s pier while holidaying on the Isle of Wight, where the boardwalk either features the names of the donors or their pleasure crafts. The All at Sea range is a playful range covering occasions, nautical terms, and affectionate boat names such as Catch of The Day, Tie The Knot, Salty Sea Dog, and Miss Adventure.

Blast is a sumptuous, techni-colour marriage between striking Vectors and funky typography to celebrate life, love, relationships, and a lust for life!

The retrospective Telegrams range came about through Peter Spencer’s love of scrapbooking: a highly enjoyable and therapeutic activity that he first began in his dim and distant days at Art School in 1979. Telegrams covers many occasions, but for St Valentine’s and Mother’s Day it celebrates the style and glamour of the women of that period.

Mood Swings displays old photographs from across the pond, and usually kept at the back of the family album for good reason! Each design is accompanied with an irreverent caption to suit.

*Signs of Life is an urban range of stark city images photographed in and around Glasgow, but with a ray of hope in each photograph. Here the message hanging many storeys above is loud and clear. A spotlight on humankind.

Perfect Partners is a sub-range within Stationery Traffic’s expansive Slide Show collection. All of the designs feature the curious combination of vintage wrapping paper, Boggle letters, and a slide-mount containing an image to reflect the occasion.
