Four brave souls are daring to “brave the shave” this year in support of the 10th anniversary of the annual FUNdraising event, Garden Re-Leaf Day, together hoping to raise huge sums for the Greenfingers charity.
Taking place at 11:00am on Friday 19th March 2021, Greenfingers Chairman Sue Allen, along with Millbrook Garden Centre’s Managing Director/Greenfingers Trustee, Tammy Woodhouse, and mother/daughter staff duo, Danielle and Jo, will be saying goodbye to their lockdown locks as they prepare the shave their heads, all in the name of charity.
Garden Re-Leaf Day, pegged as the event which kickstarts the gardening year, also raises vital funds for the Greenfingers charity. Each year Greenfingers builds much-needed gardens at children’s hospices throughout the country, to-date having completed 60 gardens where patients, staff and families can relax or remember lost loved ones. The first ever Greenfingers garden was built at Demelza Hospice in Sittingbourne back in 1999, and a new garden is earmarked for 2021/22, funded by amazing fundraising efforts such as that by the team at Millbrook Garden Centre, just 20 miles away!
The Millbrook Garden Centre team hope to raise over £10,000. To donate to the Millbrook team’s FUNdraising efforts please visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sueandtambraveshave or https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/millbrook-garden-company-ltd
