The Entertainer opens up in Valencia

Independent British toy retailer, The Entertainer, has opened its first The Entertainer branded store in Spain after its 2018 acquisition of Spanish toy retailer, Poly. The Poly store in Valencia has now been fullyrebranded as The Entertainer and opened its doors for the first time on May 11. A major opening event will take place on Saturday May 22.

The Spanish store is aligned with many of The Entertainer’s winning UK retail practices, offering a fun and interactive instore experience which includes demonstrations and character visits, all in line with official social distancing guidance for as long as those are in operation. The Entertainer has plans to expand throughout the country by opening more shops in other Spanish towns and regions.

The founder and executive chairman of The Entertainer, Gary Grant, commented: “This is an extremely exciting moment for The Entertainer. We have been operating in Spain through our Poly stores since 2018 and heavily investing into the Spanish market but now is the perfect time for us to introduce The Entertainer to the people of Spain.

“We have spent 40 years perfecting our unique customer experience and we are excited to bring this full experience to Spain for families to enjoy. The Entertainer Valencia is a significant landmark for our operations in Spain and we’re excited to develop and grow The Entertainer further across the region over the coming months and years.”
