ExaClair Limited has revealed the latest addition to their line-up of prestigious luxury Jacques Herbin inks, named Shogun. The ink was developed in collaboration with international fashion designer, Kenzo Takada, who sadly passed away last year, not long after the partnership with Jacques Herbin had begun. Thus, the ink pays homage to the iconic designer.
Recognised worldwide, Kenzo Takada was one of the most renowned fashion designers of his generation. His exceptional style combines a variety of multicultural inspirations with a distinctly Japanese touch. Alongside a creative development team he founded K三 (pronounced K-3), a luxury brand dedicated to the art of living.
This premium twilight-coloured ink, reminiscent of a beautiful night of stars, is coated with fine red and gold glitter. The resulting hue is evocative of certain armours from the Shogun era, for which Kenzo held a fine appreciation. Each 50ml ink is presented in an emblematic Jacques Herbin cube glass bottle.
The new Shogun ink is part of the exclusive ‘créations d’artistes’ range, which honours and celebrates personalities recognised for their creative talents. Each ink is developed with a unique shade that majestically reflects the sensitivity and soul of the artist.
Shogun ink can be paired with items from Kenzo’s extended affiliation with Clairefontaine, which includes an broad selection of premium stationery products, such as notepads, pencil cases, folders and files that have also been developed within the K三 ethos.
Lawrence Savage, Marketing Manager at ExaClair, says the ink has been long awaited “This collaboration with Kenzo Takada has been designed to enhance luxury home environments, bringing elegance to the desks of creative users inspired by his unparalleled imagination and distinguished flair.”
“The sad passing of Kenzo,” he adds, “makes this release all the more special and symbolises the boundless innovation and relentless passion for design for which he will be remembered.”
