The Plastic Free Gardening range of natural rubber seed trays from Wildlife World scooped the Best New Product Award at the Garden Press Event 2022, which took place at the Business Design Centre in London’s Islington on March 9.
The company said: “We’re over the moon with the award and it was fantastic to see all the interest from the industry for these sustainable Plastic Free products at the Garden Press Event.” With GIMA’s Plastic Packaging Pledge uppermost in suppliers’ minds ahead of the new government tax this April – and sustainability leading the agenda for consumers, retailers and manufacturers alike – the timing of the launch could not have been better.
The large contingent of garden journalists and editors who attended the event obviously agreed and voted in their droves for this hero product.
Also flying the flag for sustainability was another GIMA member, The Little Hanging Garden Co, which was judged to have the Best Stand in show. The company offers a charming product range which made for a gorgeous display on their stand, whilst its new make your own terrarium kits look set to be a winning green gift solution that garden centres can get on board with.
