Spotlight on Tim Fowler Designs

New to the British Craft Directory, Tim Fowler Designs are handmade in the heart of West Yorkshire.

Tim is a sheet metal worker who creates wonderful clocks and sculptures for the home, mainly using stainless steel to craft his products.

Tim says: Heating the metal and tapping it at the right temperature, the oxidisation process brings out the elements of the metal, which shows through as the beautiful colours of blues, purples, golds and silvers.

Being handmade, no two products are quite the same, each piece is unique in it’s appearance. The clocks I make are uniform in size but the overall finish of them will vary due to the handmaking process. The body of the clocks are stainless steel sheet with oxidised metal inserts.

“The sculptures are hand cut stainless steel hearts and stars, they are secured into an aged and oiled whiskey barrel base.”
