Source Home & Gift partners with Retail Economics

Source Home & Gift, has announced a partnership with Retail Economics to deliver retail trends and insights at the show, across its digital and social platforms, and via webinars.

Retail Economics, an independent economics research consultancy focused on the UK consumer and retail industry, will deliver monthly blogs on the retail landscape and consumer trends and is hosting a webinar with its CEO Richard Lim on Wednesday 15th November at 11am.

The UK Retail Landscape – Outlook and Opportunities for 2024 webinar will provide invaluable expert views about retail in 2023 and what 2024 may bring for the UK retail market. The session will provide an overview of the UK retail market, whilst examining consumer trends, the opportunities and trends present across major retail categories including, fashion, home and garden and shares insight into macro trends that may impact 2024 performance, and strategies to mitigate these risks.

Suzanne Ellingham, Director of Sourcing, Source Home & Gift says, “As we continue to grow our sourcing shows, we know how important it is to provide our audiences with year-round retail insights to help them understand the key economic drivers behind UK retail and consumer sectors and help offer a competitive edge through deeper insights of the retail industry. With world class research, Retail Economics transform information into actionable insights, so this webinar is a must-attend.”

Source Home & Gift has also partnered with retail trends consultancy Insider Trends, launching a Transparency Report exploring what transparency and accountability really looks like in retail. Looking at whether retail can ever truly consider itself sustainable when it’s all about the sale of new things; how even resale, repairs, and rental have an environmental impact and are treated as add-ons for businesses who make money selling new products; and a move away from terms like ‘sustainable’, the Transparency Report outlines how fashion and retail can move forward.

To launch the report, join the Insider Trends Report Webinar on Thursday 23rd November at 11am. The session will provide an overview of the UK retail market, whilst examining consumer trends, the opportunities and trends present across the fashion landscape, and why sustainable and ethical sourcing matter to UK consumers.

Source Home & Gift aims to unite global manufacturers and artisan makers who all pride themselves on responsible manufacturing and sustainable production, with key retailers, brands, and contractors. The show takes place alongside Spring Fair on 4th – 7th February 2024 at NEC Birmingham with producers from UK, China, India, Africa, Philippines, Nepal and many more showcasing their wares. All exhibitors are required to have had a recent audit from Sedex or a recognisable audit institution giving buyers the confidence that they will meet suppliers that have responsible business practices.
