Royal Delft celebrates miffy’s birthday

In honour of miffy’s 70th birthday in 2025, Royal Delft, in collaboration with Mercis, introduces miffy XL – an exclusive, hand-painted Delft Blue showpiece. Miffy XL is available in a limited edition of just 70 pieces, featuring unique golden details. A portion of the proceeds from this edition will be donated to the Sickle Cell Foundation. Additionally, Royal Delft is also launching an unlimited edition.

Royal Delft’s designers and artisans have created a special work of art, as if Miffy herself has walked through a Delft Blue plate. The signature Delft Blue patterns have been enlarged and hand-painted in the atelier in Delft, resulting in a stunning 40 cm tall showpiece.

Limited edition: a golden touch for a good cause
Alongside the unlimited edition, Royal Delft is introducing an exclusive limited edition of miffy XL. This special edition was designed to celebrate miffy’s birthday and is connected to the Sickle Cell Foundation, a foundation for which miffy serves as an ambassador.

What makes this limited edition even more special are its golden details, inspired by the Sickle Cell Foundation logo. A portion of the proceeds from this exclusive edition will be donated to the foundation, allowing buyers to not only acquire an artistic and valuable piece but also contribute to a good cause. This unique version is limited to just 70 pieces.

This latest creation is a true eye-catcher. miffy XL is available via the Royal Delft webshop, Flagship Store, and Brand Store, as well as at selected retailers. The unlimited edition is priced at €1,750, while the limited edition is available for €2,250. Now also on display in the newly renovated museum halls
The Royal Delft Museum has recently undergone renovations. On Monday, March 10, 2025, the new museum halls officially opened. The first hall takes visitors on a journey through the versatile world of Royal Delft, where tradition meets innovation. It showcases both signature and surprising designs from Royal Delft’s designers and master painters. One of the highlights in this space is miffy XL.
