Industry awards go for Bollywood theme

bollywoodEvent organiser and magazine publisher, Max Publishing, has just hosted two Bollywood-themed extravaganzas devoted to Excellence in Housewares and The Henries greeting card awards for 2016.

 

Over 400 retailers and suppliers attended the Housewares awards night at London Lancaster Hotel on October 5, with hundreds more turning up the following night for the greetings card industry’s annual celebration.

Director of the Exclusively Housewares exhibition, Patrick Wade, was celebrated for his Outstanding Contribution to the Housewares Industry, with Jeremy Horwood taking home the Honorary Achievement Award, in recognition of 40 years of service in his family business.

Retailers including Ruby & Scarlet, Felixstowe, Harts of Stur, Borough Kitchen, Hampstead, Lakeland, Barnitts, York, Fenwich of Colchester and Dunhelm were recognised for their contribution to the housewares industry, alongside suppliers such as Joseph Joseph, Kitchen Craft, Sage by Heston Blumenthal, Aydya, DKB Household, Oxo, Fiskars and Rayware Group.

UK Greetings chief executive Gary Rowley won the Honorary Achievement Award in his own industry, while Sara Miller was named Most Promising Young Designer or Artist. It was the turn of Ling Design to win the Henry Cole Classic Award for their Rainbow Cards range, while Best Service to the Independent Retailer awards were given to UK Greetings (bronze), Noel Tatt (silver) and International Cards & Gifts (gold).

Other product categories were won by publishers including: Brainbox Candy, Rachel Ellen, Belly Button Designs, UK Greetings, Dandelion Stationery, Second Nature, Janie Wilson, U Studio, Rosie Made A Thing, I Drew This, Hallmark, Paper Salad for Glick, The Art File, Hambledon Studios, Wendy Jones Blackett, Stop the Clock Design and Sooshichacha.
