Artinker offers traditionally crafted greeting cards using top-notch artistic talent combined with indelible Indian ink and a generous dollop of charm and charisma.
Artinker is a new initiative for artist, Robert Askew and it aims to deliver high quality greetings cards to the perceptive buyer of contemporary art-work in greetings card form. Full of wit and character, Robert’s creations in ink are imaginative, light-hearted and fun with a definite leaning to the playful.
Robert is a self-taught artist, enjoying the simple, clean lines of ink on paper. The work demonstrates an affection for animals and the natural world but it also reveals a fondness for music, dance, comedy and sparkling joie de vivre! With an evident talent from a young age Robert spent his teenage years travelling Europe and funding it through drawing murals and portraits to pay for food and island-hopping. Since those days he now has work in galleries and private collections throughout the U.K. His work now furnishes restaurant walls, menus, shop signs and more.
2018 is the year that Robert Askew, through Artinker will be releasing his greetings cards out in to the world at the British Craft Trade Fair (Stand N25) which takes place from April 8-10 2018 at the Great Yorkshire Showground in beautiful Harrogate.
