Danilo and Gemma find new routes to market

A year after Carte Blanche Group acquired the Is It Art distribution business, two Is It Art brands, Danilo and Gemma International, have announced they will be taking alternative routes to market.

Licensed calendar specialist, Danilo, will come under the care of Words ‘N’ Wishes, while Gemma will pursue its own distribution with the assistance of the Cardgains buying group. Carte Blanche will continue to carry the two brands’ ranges until the end of July.

The other brands which came under the Is It Art umbrella – legendary humour specialist, Emotional Rescue, and market-leading sentiment brand, Blue Mountain Arts – are being fully integrated into the Carte Blanche portfolio with the help of Is It Art sales representatives. Other Carte Blanche brands include the multi-award-winning Hotchpotch Publishing, Wishing Well Studios and classic cute brand, Me to You.

Words ‘n’ wishes was set up in July 2011 by Rod Brown and Carl Salt, the former Managing Director and Operations Director of Wishing Well Studios, which was acquired by Carte Blanche Group in October 2010. The company also distributes humour brand, Quitting Hollywood.
