Half Moon Bay acquires Opal London

HMB_OPAL_LOGO-01Half Moon Bay has announced that it has acquired the assets and intellectual property rights of Opal Crafts Limited, a market leader in the spa and bathing product industry. Retiring founders John Gresty-Poole and Kate Owen have run Opal for 35 years, developing it into a well-known and trusted brand.

“Half Moon Bay are looking forward to building on Opal’s success and expanding the product offering further, whilst maintaining the Opal London brand identity,” said Managing Director Peter Thompson. “Our Head of Product Development Karla Woolley has 10 years of buying experience in this area and has exciting plans in place with new product launches planned for early 2015.”

The company has already seen interest in Opal London’s products from Half Moon Bay customers, particularly in their leading product range of novelty bath ducks. The Opal London offering includes professional spa products, beauty accessories, candles and fun gifts for adults and children.

Half Moon Bay will be taking charge of the Opal London NEC trade show stands (Autumn Fair – Hall 5 stand K21) as well as operating their usual stand of licensed and themed giftware (Hall 3, stand S22-T23), which is an ideal opportunity to meet the team for existing and new customers alike.
