House History Jigsaw Puzzle celebrates Scottish Heritage

All Jigsaw Puzzles, a specialist puzzle store, with over 20 years’ expertise in creating and curating premium jigsaw puzzles, has released the House History Jigsaw Puzzle, a special celebration of Scottish heritage, storytelling and craftsmanship, created in close collaboration with National Trust for Scotland.

Celebrating Scotland’s special places, through beautiful, hand painted illustration, the 1000-piece bespoke puzzle has been uniquely designed with every single room in the puzzle inspired by real-life historic objects and rooms from National Trust for Scotland places.

Deep rooted in respect for cultural preservation and accessible learning, it has been thoughtfully composed much like a section of a dollhouse, with 12 unique rooms, each inspired by actual places in the care of the conservation charity. Awash with cheerful colour and intrigue, both educational and collectable, it’s sure to please heritage-lovers and puzzle fans of all ages.

Puzzlers will first find themselves within a decorative dining room, featuring a silver dodo claret jug c. 1881-2, from Brodick Castle, Isle of Arran. As they make their way through the house, they will notice a ballroom adorned with stag heads, much like the Mar Lodge in Aberdeenshire. Marvel at the music room, complete with a self-playing pipe organ c.1905, and a grand piano, from Fyvie Castle, and recreate the beautifully decorated bedroom, featuring a ladder-back chair, bed and wall hangings by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald, from Hill House.

History and charm come alive as they continue upstairs, they will recreate the Attic Room, based on the Bachelors’ Club, South Ayrshire, where Robert Burns learned to debate and dance to William Gregg’s fiddle c.1750. Don’t miss the Trust’s exclusive Pink Castle Tartan Flag billowing in the wind, weaving together history, romance and sophistication. Its colourful pink base is adorned with subtle shades of green and blue, inspired by Craigievar Castle itself!

The House History puzzle was manufactured in Britain and proud of its sustainability efforts. The puzzle board is made from 100% recycled materials and the clear bag inside is 100% recyclable. All paper is sourced from UK mills and the printing process uses vegan inks, is Chlorine Free (TCF) and sources paper from FSC & PEFC suppliers.

Andrew Roberts, Head of Retail at the National Trust for Scotland, said: “Through our licensing program, we are excited to be partnering with All Jigsaw puzzles, who have carefully developed an authentic puzzle, based upon the places the National Trust for Scotland protects and cares for. As experts in the jigsaw category – they have commissioned bespoke artwork, inspired by collection pieces from across the Trust’s locations into one imagined house. It’s the ultimate gift for fans of Scotland – and all purchases will contribute to the ongoing work of our charity.”
