Rebecca Rawlings catches the eye at New Designers

Rebecca Rawlings, a graduate of Bradford School of Art and Design exhibiting at New Designers 2011, put on a fun, quirky and thoughtfully put-together showcase that caught our eye.

Focusing on the kitchen as the heart of any family home, Rebecca has created a group of characters around pantry staples such as tea bags, ketchup and marmite. Good concept and use of colour, this made a funky co-ordinated display of complementary home and kitchen products, including cushions, tea towels, plates, cups and teapots. Especially fun was the ‘Nasty Bastard’ themed tea towel, the perfect gift for a rotter who should be put to good use; full marks for making us laugh!
