Discover heart warming humour from Cancer Girl at the National Stationery Show

CANCERGIRLKathy Honey– Murphy is the founder and owner of Cancer Girl, a unique greeting card line that offers an uplifting and sometimes humorous look at going through cancer treatment.

Speaking of her concept, Kathy says: “I was diagnosed with stage 3A breast cancer in August 2011. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction, 8 rounds of chemotherapy and 28 radiation. This was a lot at 49 years old.

“I decided  that I was going to have a good attitude and try to find the humor in the horrible thing. Many of these cards are from my personal experiences and if we can laugh,  it can make everything better. Cancer patients need your love, support and understanding. They also need to talk about it as it is their life, now and  in the future. I want these cards to bring a smile and a laugh, even if for a moment. We all need that. I also want to help those supporting the cancer patient by helping them to know what to say. The messages inside the cards are what you should say to a cancer patient, not what people usually say!”

This fantastic company is a finalist for the best new product in the Paper Love category at the National Stationery Show, which opens its doors on May 19. View the full product range from the Cancer Girl booth number 1244 or visit the website for more details.
