The Forever Friends bear has become the latest honoured guest at Number 10 Downing Street, thanks to its partnership with the baby charity Tommy’s.
On Tuesday 4 June Samantha Cameron hosted a reception at 10 Downing Street in support of the charity, which funds medical research into miscarriages, still births and premature births and offers essential support to parents. One hundred and thirty guests accompanied the world’s cutest bear, including Tommy’s trustees, staff and researchers and corporate partners, as well as Tommy’s supporters and fundraisers.
The visit ties in with Forever Friends and Tommy’s two-year partnership to raise £40,000 to fund on-going research to ensure that fewer babies are lost during pregnancy or birth.
Richard Hollis from Forever Friends, who has championed the partnership, said: “Tommy’s is an incredibly worthwhile cause and we’re delighted to be supporting them. We’ve already worked with them on the ‘Summer of Hugging’ campaign last year which helped us achieve a Guinness World Record for hugging but more importantly helped raise vital funds and awareness for the charity. We are proud to be here at Downing Street in honour of Tommy’s and we will continue to strive to support the charity wherever possible.”
