Saffron Cards & Gifts has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with The London Studio (TLS) with effect from 20th April 2015.
The agreement covers all TLS images with the exception of ‘The Wisdom of Kids’ which is licensed by Gemma International Ltd for cards, Blueprint Collections for Stationery and Brown Trout for calendars and organisers.
The London Studio has a strong portfolio of high quality, award winning, quirky and humorous greetings cards
designed by Soula Zavacopoulos, whose unique style is distinctly different yet complementary to Saffron’s own beautiful contemporary ranges.
The partnership will enable Saffron to offer both companies’ customers an unbeatable selection of greetings cards covering most genres with a mix of different styles, finishes and price points. Saffron’s inaugural showcase of The London Studio’s ranges will take place on June 2 – 3 at PG Live, Stand 204.
Saffron Cards & Gifts is owned by Paul Steele, founder of Hotchpotch Publishing, which is now owned by Carte Blanche Group. Paul and his team at Saffron will take over the production and distribution of all The London Studio card and gift ranges, with the exception of ‘The Wisdom of Kids’.
Soula comments: “I love designing card ranges, but my time is often eaten up with so many other jobs; but with Paul and his team taking over the sales and publishing side of The London Studio, it will allow me more time to concentrate on the creative side of the business and on designing new ranges – which is the part I love the most!”
Paul Steele, MD of Saffron Cards said: “I have known Soula for a number of years and always admired her creativity and marketing flair. This new partnership is a great fit as Soula’s style is so different, yet complementary to our own and we both share the same values when it comes to quality, design and first class customer service so I’m really excited to be working with her.
“Soula’s customers may be reassured that there will be complete continuity of supply as Saffron will ensure full stock availability right from the start. We are looking forward to taking great care of all The London Studio’s customers in the future and both Soula and the Saffron team look forward to meeting many of them at the forthcoming PG Live show”.
