Carte Blanche opens new fulfilment centre

CBG_warehouse_opening Aug 2015Carte Blanche Group celebrated the official opening of its new style fulfilment operation earlier this month, making the most of the summer with a Barbecue for staff based at the company’s head office in Chichester.

Chairman and founder, Stephen Haines, enrolled the help of Carte Blanche’s longest-standing member of staff within the fulfilment centre, Simeon Furniss, to cut the blue ribbon and welcome the team to tours of the new operation.

Investment to turn Carte Blanche’s Warehouse into a fulfilment centre has been several years in the planning and ensures that from September 1 2015 all Carte Blanche Group products will be fulfilled from one location. This means that customers who place orders for plush, gifts and greeting cards from across Carte Blanche’s broad portfolio of brands, including Me to You, Hotchpotch and Wishing Well Studios can have it delivered in one consignment and with a single invoice.

Carte Blanche has also invested in new fulfilment partners, DPD and Interlink Express, in a move that Customer Relations Manager, Chris Barrett, says will significantly improve service to Independent Retailers:

Chris Comments: “DPD and Interlink Express are a market leading provider who offer an unrivalled level of ownership and service to customers whereby retailers have full traceability of exactly where their order is, with the added benefit of being able to schedule a delivery at a time convenient to them within a one hour window and to arrange for returns to be collected the very next day.”

Investment in new delivery and returns providers is just one part of Carte Blanche’s ongoing commitment to provide an industry leading service and, as demonstrated by CEO Alister Marchant’s open letter to Independent customers last, the firm are actively responding to the feedback they receive from customers.

Next year the company will celebrate the 21st anniversary of its iconic Me to You brand, returning to Spring Fair with a big group stand and lots of celebrations in the mix for the year ahead.
